We have an HP Sonos 5500 that does not display anything on the screen when powered on. All the fans seem to be working. The power supply module and the PC are confirmed working (not sure of the interface/PCI card on the PC). One other section I looked at was the proc. graphic in the card rack, which displays DFD28-0002. I tried using another monitor but that did not make any difference either. Can you help with any procedure I can follow to determine where the fault lies? Regards.

This error indicates a possible nonrecoverable scan converter error. I would suspect a bad processor graphics or video I/O board. Also, please check to fuses on the main I/O board under the keyboard. They appear as green resistors but are actually fuses that can cause all sorts of issues. Make sure you check resistance and continuity as these components can be “sort of open.”
