iSirona, a provider of simplified solutions for medical device integration, announces a successful go-live at Hawai‘i Pacific Health. The go-live, which took place at the Pali Momi facility in West Oahu, was the first of four scheduled at Hawai‘i Pacific Health.

According to the release, Hawai‘i Pacific chose iSirona because it needed a flexible medical device integration solution that could deliver accurate, timely patient data to its Epic electronic medical record (EMR). Unlike other solutions that require expensive, single-use hardware, iSirona’s software-based solution can connect virtually any device, from any vendor, to the EMR. This offered the hospital a cost-effective solution that leverages the hardware and systems it already uses.

“iSirona is especially proud to have been selected as the device integration solution for Hawai‘i Pacific Health, a leader in the use of electronic health records [EHR],” said iSirona CEO Dave Dyell. “As an example of that, Hawai‘i Pacific was named the winner of the 2012 Enterprise HIMSS Davies Award for demonstrating the value of the EHR in informing patient care and improving outcomes.”

Davies Award winners must have achieved Stage 6 or Stage 7 on the HIMSS Analytics EMR Adoption Model and have reached key Meaningful Use milestones.
