eRAD announced today that Camellia Women’s Imaging, a radiology provider in Birmingham, Ala., has successfully deployed an array of eRAD solutions, including eRAD RIS, PACS, speech recognition, mammography tracking, and Physician Portal.

eRAD is a subsidiary of RadNet, Inc., a leading provider of standards-based, web-centric radiology image and data management solutions.

Founded and operated by women, Camellia takes a “Women for Women” approach to services. One particular offering is same-day mammography results for patients, and same-day service for any additional views required.

Keir Cooper, IT manager at Camellia, said: “Since we give same-day results, it’s critical that the PACS/RIS not slow us down, that it actually adds value. That’s why we went with eRAD. The entire patient flow—from scheduling to dictation and sending reports—is very smooth.”

An all-in-one platform helps Camellia streamline its processes. “You can tell when software products are cobbled together,” says Cooper. “Everything integrates cleanly with eRAD.”

Camellia has been seeing patients for nearly one year—and is positioned to scale strategically. “The built-in reports made our FDA inspection very easy,” adds Cooper. “We’ll make no compromises on the quality of patient care as we grow, and we’ll leverage eRAD to keep that commitment.”

“Same-day results, every day—that kind of efficiency challenge is our sweet spot,” says Seth Koeppel, Senior VP of Sales at eRAD. “When we can help a new practice be off and running with exactly the service goals they set for themselves—that’s how we’re a true partner. Camellia is doing great things for the women of Alabama, and we’re proud to be a part of that.”
