Thanks to a $730,000 SBIR grant from the US Army Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center, real-time data integration and display technology company LiveData is developing an integrated clinical environment with CIMIT’s Medical Device Plug-and-Play (MD PnP) team.
The company will use the money to help develop an operating room (OR) dashboard that can display information from multiple systems on a single, large screen.
The grant will also help the company develop solutions to improve workflow, provide real-time data for electronic medical records, and reduce medical errors and health care costs throughout the hospital.
Together with its CIMIT/MGH partners, LiveData is working to create an architecture for integrating medical technologies. The work is related to the company’s focus on developing workflow enhancements for its OR-dashboard, which can lead to improvements in patient safety and OR efficiency through on-time case starts, reduced downtime, and automation.
