Fluke Biomedical and North Seattle Community College will co-host the inaugural Medical Device Quality Assurance Training Summit. The event will be held from September 16 to September 20 at NSCC’s biomed laboratory in Seattle, Wash.

Entry-level biomeds, field service technicians, and engineers, are invited to join. They will learn basics of medical device risk management and best practices for safety and performance testing using hands-on methods.

Industry experts will lecture on a variety of topics, including the tenets and best practices of medical device quality assurance; risk management; sourcing new test requirements and standards; inspection procedures; and preventive testing methods. The lectures are accompanied by quizzes and hands-on labs.
