To help answer the question, “How can health care best harness wireless technology to help bring about safer, more efficient, and cost-effective patient care?” AAMI has released a compilation of articles on the topic, Going Wireless (PDF). The articles cover topics including managing hospital RF spectrum, achieving a robust and reliable network, technology risk assessment in healthcare facilities, security and safety for medical devices and hospitals, and understanding the wireless spectrum in a healthcare facility.
Most of the articles come from AAMI’s Wireless Strategy Task Force, formed in 2013 to address the growing challenges of wireless technology in healthcare. Its members include manufacturers, regulators, and HTM professionals.
