Fluke Corp, Everett, Wash, has published a valuable series of application notes to help electricians and electronics professionals do advanced electrical testing with its digital multimeters (DMMs).
Capabilities built into the Fluke 289 DMM include, a saving, recording, and TrendCapture feature; the ability to measure low resistances with 0.001 ohm resolution; a higher measurement current than normal ohms functions; LoZ ac volts; and Low pass filter, which helps users accurately monitor the output voltage and frequency of an adjustable speed motor drive.
An easily accessible info button directly on the device provides a convenient reference tool for users, allowing them to view a brief description of each function and its use .
