Our Hitachi EUB-515 ultrasound machine has only one endocavity probe. The image on the screen has extreme contrasts in the near field and poor resolution regardless of any machine settings and controls that appear to be working. The presets menu has crazy characters in it other than the normal settings of one through four for the dynamic and enhancement presets. I suspect corrupted software and/or a bad power supply. Do you know who we could contact for tech support and parts? Thank you. –

Try a different probe to see if the problem is a defective probe. I do not recommend spending any money repairing the system. It was manufactured in the early 1990s, so any repair cost will exceed the current market value of the system. You can contact Hitachi to see if they can assist you further.
