Medisend International has appointed Costel Rizescu, PhD, to VP of biomedical technologies. Rizescu has been with Medisend for six years, currently serving as director of the Medisend Biomedical technologies school.
Rizescu assisted in the design of the MediSend Biomedical repair training program curriculum and Medisend’s biomedical repair and training laboratories. The program trains professional biomedical technicians for developing country hospitals in countries such as Angola, Chad, Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon, Sierra Leone, Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Liberia, Papua New Guinea, India, Haiti and Kazakhstan, among others.
Rizescu holds a masters of science in nuclear physics engineering and a PhD in physics, and has over 20 years of experience in biomedical engineering with an extensive background in nuclear medicine.
