Siemens Healthcare has installed its 1,000th MAMMOMAT NovationDR digital mammography solution at Susan B Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado, Kan.
The MAMMOMAT NovationDR is a specially designed mammography system for screening, diagnostics, and biopsy applications. It includes features such as Opdose, which automatically selects the best anode/filter combination and the lowest dose for the individual breast characteristics, as well as technology that increases patient comfort during the exam and maximizes image quality. Additionally, the system can be integrated with nearly any storage management system.
Siemens also provided the hospital staff with comprehensive off-site training on how to operate the system in a clinical environment at its Cary, NC facility during the installation.
