Virginia Hospital Center will deploy InnerWireless Inc’s Horizon converged wireless solution to help ensure continuous wireless connectivity for mission- and life-critical applications across 1.1 million square feet in its Arlington, Va campus.

The hospital selected the Horizon platform to help improve clinicians’ access and connectivity to the many types of wireless devices used by the facility.
In addition to the daily clinical support functions of the wireless technology, InnerWireless will provide the hospital with network connectivity during wired network outages.

The Horizon system, also known as a distributed antenna system (DAS), ensures the delivery of most types of Wireless Wide Area Networks (WWAN) and Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN) services, such as 3G smartphones, Wi-Fi, medical telemetry, fire/life/safety, pagers, and two-way radios.
