The association announces the location and advisory council for its 2027 medical device standards conference, scheduled for April 13–16 in National Harbor, Maryland.

The Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) announced the advisory council and location for its 2027 neXus conference, scheduled for April 13 to 16, 2027. The event, which focuses on medical device industry standards, will take place at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland, located near Washington, DC.

The conference serves as a gathering for medical device, safety, and regulatory professionals whose work drives innovation in international health technology. AAMI intends to provide strategic sessions and networking while introducing new offerings at the 2027 conference.

The inaugural event in 2024 was co-sponsored by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and attracted hundreds of professionals from industry and regulatory agencies, according to a release from AAMI. In 2026, AAMI neXus returned, once again convening a host of experts from the FDA and other regulatory agencies, as well as the international medical device standards community.

The newly announced advisory council and program committee will collaborate with the association to develop conference programming for 2027. The advisory council includes:
