The ninth annual National Health IT Week (NHIT Week) begins on September 15. Described as a collaborative forum and virtual awareness week, it encompasses a wide variety of events both in Washington, DC, and across the nation.
According to organizers, the goal of the week’s efforts is to assemble “key healthcare constituents dedicated to working together to elevate the necessity of advancing health through the best use of information technology.” An estimated 400 partner organizations will work during the week to bring HIT to “the forefront of the nation’s attention.”
NHIT Week is cosponsored by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), the Institute for e-Health Policy, and the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). For more information on all the organizations involved, visit the NHIT Week partners page.
