The new product family includes two compact systems designed for use in various clinical applications and care settings.
GE HealthCare announced the introduction of the LOGIQ e family, featuring the LOGIQ e X and LOGIQ e S, two compact laptop ultrasound systems designed to help clinicians deliver imaging across various care settings, according to a company press release.
The systems combine console-level performance with a portable design and include artificial intelligence-powered features and workflow tools. The product line supports multiple clinical applications, including musculoskeletal, emergency medicine, critical care, rheumatology, and anesthesiology.
“Healthcare delivery is changing rapidly, and imaging technology must evolve with it. Clinicians today need imaging solutions that can move seamlessly across care settings while supporting a variety of users and clinical applications,” says Karley Yoder, CEO, ultrasound solutions, advanced imaging solutions, GE HealthCare, in a release. “The LOGIQ e family furthers our ability to serve customers with solutions that balance portability, performance, and workflow, while bringing the right imaging capabilities to the right clinical environments.”
The LOGIQ e X is a premium offering that includes artificial intelligence-powered tools and advanced imaging capabilities. The LOGIQ e S provides essential imaging features in a reliable system at a lower price point, according to GE HealthCare.
To improve efficiency, the systems feature workflow tools such as Scan Assistant and Voice Control. Depending on the region and configuration, the LOGIQ e X also includes artificial intelligence tools like Nerveblox, which labels anatomical landmarks during peripheral nerve block procedures, and MSK Go, which identifies anatomical structures during musculoskeletal examinations.
Additional imaging tools provided with the systems include B-Flow for real-time imaging of blood flow and Speckle Reduction Imaging-HD to improve the visibility of organs and lesions. The systems also offer Automated Function Imaging to assess heart defects and SonoBiometry for automated fetal measurements.
“As I work in different clinics, a portable device is essential for me. What first caught my attention with the LOGIQ e is its design but beyond it being appealing is its performance, it’s very practical, easy to use and simple,” says Dr Vicente Roqués Escolor, anesthesiologist, in a release. “I was also impressed by the possibility of using artificial intelligence, specifically the Nerveblox tool, which allows the scouting of the different structures we see in a large number of regional anesthesia techniques before performing the intervention.”
The systems are compatible with Verisound digital tools, including Verisound Fleet for cloud-based management and Verisound Collab for virtual communication. The LOGIQ e X also supports Vscan Air probe compatibility for wireless scanning.
The latest LOGIQ e ultrasound systems are 510(k) cleared and CE Marked, according to the press release.
