According to an announcement published on the website of The Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) on Wednesday, the AAMI University is seeking to fill several faculty positions. AAMI is looking for candidates who have backgrounds as industry experts, government employees, or education professionals, and have a desire to teach others about quality systems and associated regulations. Applications will be accepted until November 14.

AAMI has eligibility requirements that include professional experience, industry knowledge, prior attendance of an AAMI training program, and availability to teach.

AAMI’s Faculty Review Panel will review the applications. Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements will be invited to register for a Train-the-Trainer session that is scheduled for March 2-3, 2015, in Arlington, Va. Upon successful completion of the session, qualified candidates will be invited to serve with experienced faculty at an AAMI University course scheduled in 2015.

The University is particularly looking to expand its faculty teams for the “Quality System Requirements and Industry Practice” and “Design Control Requirements and Industry Practice” courses.

More information may be found on the AAMI University website.
