In an October 27 announcement, PartsSource, Cleveland, said that Allina Health has signed a 3-year agreement with the medical replacement parts provider to “manage and optimize” Allina’s clinical engineering procurement process. Allina Health is a not-for-profit health system serving Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
According to a PartsSource press release, the agreement will allow Allina Health “to replace an inefficient, part-by-part sourcing practice with a strategic, enterprise-level approach.”
“We chose PartsSource to manage our procurement services because they best answered our need to take costs out of our system without compromising our commitment to high-quality care,” Nadia Ayoubzadeh, Allina Health director of clinical engineering, stated in the press release. “We are optimistic that their solutions suite will let us work more efficiently and effectively across the enterprise. Our goal is to allow our clinical engineers to focus exclusively on diagnosing and repairing equipment rather than sourcing parts, which ultimately translates to reduced costs, less equipment downtime, and more responsive patient care.”
