Jonathan S. Shapiro, PhD, president of Dynalyzer calibration and repair company Greenwich Instrument Co Inc, announces that the company has received ISO 17025:2005 accreditation, which assures that the lab maintains an unbroken chain of calibration to national standards.
New requirements from Underwriters Laboratories requiring x-ray equipment manufacturers use test equipment that has been calibrated by ISO 17025 accredited laboratories spurred Greenwich Instrument to obtain accreditation. The company is accredited for electromagnetic-DC/low frequency measurements, which specifically include high voltage DC sources to 165 KV. The company is also ISO 9001 certified.
High voltage measurements are required for calibration of voltage dividers and Dynalyzers used in the set up of x-ray generators.
ACLASS Accreditation Services, Alexandria, VA, an American National Standards Institute/American Society of Quality (ANSI-ASQ) accreditation board company, granted the accreditation.
