The Misys Center for Community Health Leadership is accepting applications for grants from communities across the country that want to begin using electronic health records (EHRs).

Local hospitals, physician offices, home care agencies, and communities interested in sharing clinical data for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes, even if they are not affiliated with Misys, can submit applications by December 31, 2006 and get involved in the program. Applicants will be selected based on their commitment to sharing clinical data between medical professionals for the purposes of delivering therapeutic and diagnostic care. Communities must also be willing to track pre- and post-implementation data for ROI case development and must work with Misys and members of the media to share the results of running the EHR software.

Through this grant program, Misys hopes to give local leaders the opportunity to expand their involvement in developing an interconnected health care community.
