New York-based CyberMDX, a healthcare cybersecurity provider delivering visibility and threat prevention for medical devices, the Internet of Things, and clinical networks, has integrated with Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP). Coupling CyberMDX asset insight and detection capabilities with Microsoft Defender ATP’s view of the managed network, healthcare organizations will obtain cross-platform and device visibility, classification, and incident response capabilities.
Moreover, Microsoft enterprise customers using Microsoft Defender ATP will benefit from network security and device function context provided by CyberMDX and streamlined into Microsoft Defender ATP’s incident response, investigation, and hunting workflows.
“Our integration with Microsoft delivers an entirely new layer of visibility to healthcare delivery organizations by aggregating data and communication flows for all healthcare assets, enabling incident response teams to seamlessly perform work based on a holistic approach covering all connected assets—both managed and unmanaged,” says CyberMDX CEO Amir Magner. “We are extremely pleased to integrate with Microsoft Defender ATP and help deliver comprehensive, clinical context-aware protection to healthcare environments.”
Alon Rosental, principal group program manager, Microsoft Threat Protection at Microsoft Corp., also spoke out about the integration, commenting: “Combining the network view with endpoint security yields synergies for both technologies, ensuring businesses have improved visibility of medical devices and clinical networks in their environment. This integration allows our mutual customers to simplify their security infrastructure and provides additional levels of security around patient safety and data privacy.”
