Health Canada has issued a medical device license for the CARESTREAM DRX-Revolution Mobile X-Ray System, which approves its use by health care facilities in Canada. This mobile DR imaging system delivers outstanding image quality, easy maneuverability, and numerous productivity-enhancing features. The DRX-Revolution system is expected to begin shipping by June 2012.
The DRX-Revolution offers a l 32kW generator, DRX detector, and Carestream software that allows radiographers to easily align the tube with a grid. Grid use can help radiographers achieve high image quality and reduce the need for retakes. The system’s collapsible column allows unobstructed views for enhanced visibility and safety while moving the system. Its dual-drive system and the ability to make tight, 360-degree turns in small spaces (like those found in the ICU, ED and operating room) equips the unit to be quickly and properly positioned to capture an image.
Carestream’s DRX-Revolution also offers a long tube head reach, which makes it easier for radiographers to quickly and effectively conduct x-ray exams despite the crowded presence of bedside medical equipment.
