20/20 Imaging, a division of Konica Minolta Healthcare Americas Inc., based in Wayne, NJ, has received Health Canada clearance of the digital PXS710D podiatry X-ray unit, making it the only dedicated weight-bearing podiatry specific X-ray system with this clearance currently available in Canada. The system, exclusively distributed by 20/20 Imaging approved resellers, now offers podiatrists a complete high-frequency digital X-ray system with a generator interface and full software integration.
“With the Health Canada clearance, podiatrists throughout Canada will now have access to the latest podiatry-specific imaging technology so they can provide exceptional care to their patients,” says Bob Salzman, president of 20/20 Imaging. “We are very excited to be the first to achieve this milestone and look forward to fulfilling the clinical need for this technology.”
20/20 Imaging’s PXS710D is designed for enhanced image quality, with dose efficiency in mind and an easy-to-use workflow. Compared to conventional single-phase generators, the PXS710D has twice the efficiency for high-frequency imaging and assists in addressing dose.
The system is anatomically programmed with podiatry-specific Opal software, an extensive podiatric toolkit and a touchscreen interface that together simplify operation. Opal also supports tablet viewing for anywhere, anytime viewing of images—even right in the patient exam room. Practices can now enjoy the flexibility of wireless panel technology with the P-DRW flat panel.
According to Salzman, the PXS710D will be immediately available to Canadian podiatrists through 20/20 Imaging authorized resellers.
