GE Healthcare introduces a new program that will help biomeds using any vendors’ ultrasound systems address the part of accreditation filing that deals with equipment and image quality.

Imaging and system checks are standard components of the overall accreditation requirements specified by the American College of Radiology and other accrediting bodies.

The service, a part of GE’s quality assurance program, will streamline the often complex and time-consuming process of maintaining image quality and system performance records.

Sites taking advantage of the new program will receive disks containing proof images and the paper documentation of the checks, which GE Healthcare field engineers turn over personally. Site representatives also receive a specially designed package that allows for easy access to multiple years of data and documentation.
