The companies plan to connect GE HealthCare imaging and software with Leo Cancer Careโ€™s upright radiation therapy technology, with a focus on interoperability and streamlined data flow.


Leo Cancer Care and GE HealthCare have entered a commercial collaboration to bring connected imaging and radiation therapy workflows to the market. Under the agreement, the companies intend to integrate GE HealthCareโ€™s imaging solutions and Intelligent Radiation Therapy (iRT) software with Leo Cancer Careโ€™s future upright radiation therapy technology.

The partnership aims to streamline patient and data workflows from the simulation phase through to treatment. According to the companies, the collaboration addresses industry challenges such as multivendor environments, system interoperability, and the length of time between imaging and the start of treatment.

The companies plan to explore how the iRT software, an AI-supported solution, can connect information and applications across systems to reduce the workflow burden for clinicians. The software is designed to support more timely progression through the radiation therapy pathway.

The agreement is non-exclusive, allowing both organizations to continue working within the broader radiation oncology ecosystem. The goal is to develop interoperable solutions that complement existing clinical infrastructure rather than replace it. The companies also hope to address the cost and complexity of treatment infrastructure and improve access to advanced technology.
