Two of the American Hospital Association’s professional membership groups—The American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE) and The Association for the Health Care Environment (AHE)—will hold their conferences side by side August 2 to 5 in Chicago. Attendees to either event will be able to visit both exhibit halls without incurring additional expenses. In addition, ASHE and AHE are planning shared networking events and select educational sessions to encourage cross-team collaboration.
By attending the ASHE Annual Conference or AHE Exchange, professionals in healthcare engineering, environmental services, operations, quality control, infection prevention, and other fields dealing with the physical environment of care have a unique opportunity for collaborative training, professional development, and networking.
“These two conferences offer new and exciting opportunities for health care teams to collaborate on issues critical to keeping healthcare facilities safe and operating efficiently,” says Dale Woodin, FASHE, CHFM, vice president of AHA professional membership groups.
The ASHE Annual Conference provides education, training, and networking for healthcare facility professionals and others dedicated to optimizing the healthcare physical environment. AHE Exchange provides education, training, and networking for environmental services professionals and others with a stake in maintaining the physical environment of care.
This alliance stems from an ongoing effort by the American Hospital Association and its professional membership groups to optimize value delivered to the healthcare community.
