Knightscope, a developer of autonomous security robots and blue light emergency communication systems, announced that a California based healthcare organization signed a new contract for its K5 Autonomous Security Robot (ASR) service at a San Francisco Bay Area hospital.
The client is a national leader in healthcare quality with more than 20 hospital locations and over 50,000 employees serving healthcare needs across urban, suburban and rural communities.
Healthcare organizations across the US have partnered with Knightscope to make advancements in various critical areas of physical security and in patient satisfaction. Knightscope is improving the patient experience in a variety of ways and it is aiding healthcare organizations in maintaining or increasing their HCAHPS scores.
The Knightscope K5 is intended for outdoor use running 24/7 on its own, including autonomously recharging itself without any human intervention. The K5 is best suited for securing large, outdoor spaces through the winters of the Northeast and the summers of the South.
The K5 gives a facility additional eyes, ears and a voice by utilizing the company’s fully integrated Knightscope Security Operations Center user interface. The robot adds an advanced, force-multiplying physical deterrent to a security team, giving facilities the ability to better secure the places people work, study, and visit.
