Versus Technology has announced that Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind, has deployed its asset management solution, a real-time locating system (RTLS) that sends location-based and time-based alerts and notification of provider/patient interaction.

The hospital uses the system to automate communication and locate equipment faster. Recently, the hospital ran a report on the system quickly locate some spot vital machines, which were recently recalled.

The system also features patient tracking capabilities, and can send hospital staff an alert if a patient is in the wrong room or has been waiting too long.
