More than 150 medical manufacturers and service providers will showcase their latest wares at the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation’s (AAMI) 2008 Conference and Expo, planned for May 31 to June 2 in San Jose, Calif.

Biomedical equipment technicians, clinical engineers, biomedical engineers, hospital IT managers, asset managers, and others involved in health care technology will meet for educational, networking, and personal-development opportunities.

Attendees can participate in educational sessions on such topics as patient safety, information technology, imaging, technical operations and support, the Clinical Engineering Symposium, a BMET evaluation and review course, and the big picture, which covers long-term strategies. A special orientation will be held for first-time attendees and new AAMI members.
