New York-based medical equipment manufacturer Quantum Medical Imaging has completed the installation of a Quantum Q-Rad-Digital Radiographic System at Carrollton Orthopaedic Clinic in Georgia. The Q-Rad-Digital Radiographic System installed at Carrollton features a fully integrated x-ray room that consists of a Quantum high-frequency generator with a high-speed starter, ceiling-mounted tube support with TechVision, an elevating/float-top radiographic table, a digital wall stand, and a wireless DRX cesium detector designed to provide lower dose imaging for improved patient care.

The Carrollton Orthopaedic Clinic has been serving the West Georgia region for almost 40 years, which includes providing orthopedic care for high school athletes in west Georgia and east Alabama. The clinic reports that an increased volume of patients led to the selection of the Quantum radiographic system for its ease of use, good image quality, and increase in throughput. The staff at the clinic also has reported that the recently installed system decreases the radiation dose that patients receive.

The sale and installation was facilitated by Capital X-Ray Inc, which is a certified Quantum/Carestream dealer. For more information about the Q-Rad-Digital Radiographic System, visit the Quantum Medical website.
