Memorial Hospital of York, Penn, announces the purchase of three products in Carestream Health’s portfolio of imaging systems based on its wireless, cassette-size DRX-1 detector, which can be deployed in both room-based and mobile systems.

Among the hospital’s purchases are two detectors—a CARESTREAM DRX-1 System, which converts an existing x-ray room to efficient wireless DR in less than a day, and a dual-detector CARESTREAM DRX-Evolution, an integrated, automated DR suite. Memorial Hospital also ordered a CARESTREAM DRX-Mobile Retrofit Kit that will allow it to upgrade its GE AMX-4 mobile x-ray system to wireless DRX-1 technology.

Since Memorial Hospital has purchased two detectors, one will be placed in the wall stand and the other in the table. Either detector can be removed to perform tabletop extremity and other complex exams.

The DRX-1 System and DRX-Evolution System are currently available. Carestream Health is taking orders for its DRX-Mobile Retrofit kit, which will enter the market in May.
