As part of the process of converting to an all-digital workflow, the Indian Health Care Resource Center (IHCRC) of Tulsa, Okla, ordered a CARESTREAM RIS/PACS, a DIRECTVIEW DR 7500 digital radiography system, and a CARESTREAM DRYVIEW 5850 printer from Carestream Health.
IHCRC houses 130 health care professionals including 47 licensed providers who handle more than 100,000 patient visits a year.
In the past, film studies from the center would be driven across town each day for reading. The clinic can now conduct the transaction electronically by using the new digital imaging system and RIS/PACS.
The DR 7500 system provides high-resolution images quickly, eliminating the delay required to process film. Additionally, IHCRC’s new DRYVIEW 5850 laser imager will allow patients to carry their film exams to providers without digital display capabilities.
