Reliant Medical Group (RMG), one of Massachusetts’ largest independent physician groups, is implementing seven Konica Minolta Medical Imaging AeroDR wireless digital radiology (DR) systems at six of its outpatient centers. The group’s Auburn, Mass facility recently took delivery of the first AeroDR, which is configured with Shimadzu Corp radiographic systems.

Konica Minolta’s marketing manager Guillermo Sander calls AeroDR an “easy-to-use, economical solution” designed to meet the needs of hospitals, outpatient centers, and alternate care facilities. “AeroDR is durable and features a rapid recharge, long-life lithium ion capacitor, making it an ideal solution for portable or mobile imaging that is typically found in alternate care,” he says.

The system will also help RMB increase patient throughput, Sander says, and provide its physicians and referring partners with “excellent image quality.”

The AeroDR line of DR panels is designed to maximize clinical efficiency by minimizing the effects of wear and tear that come with alternative wireless flat panels, Konica Minolta officials say. Further, a liquid-resistant enclosure helps prevent negative patient outcomes.
