I have a GE Voluson 730 Expert (BT05) system. The system was responding sluggishly during 2D and 3D scan studies. It would display “volume acquisition in progress” for quite some time before the image was displayed on the screen.
It was extremely slow when performing 2D scans and would take time to respond to the proper functions. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Is this a hard drive issue or a SW? I have never seen the system respond so sluggishly before. The hard drive is only 27% full. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. –

A few things you want to check before proceeding: Next, you want to do the following if possible: If the system is still slow, you have to replace the single board computer (SBC) if GEF card cage, or PC box if GEZ card cage. In both cases you need part numbers. {accordionfaq faqid=accordion16280 graybarfaq arrow headerbackground headerborder contentbackground contentborder round5}
• Is the system BT05 on the hardware? (Does the card cage say GEF or GEZ?) You can have BT03 or BT04 hardware with BT05 software.
• Is the system networked—PACS, DICOM server, etc?
• Do you have the software DVD and recent presets and full back up disks for the system?
• Do you have an IDE hard drive 80+GB?
• Install software on a new hard drive, reload full back up.
• Disconnect the system from the network and test the 2D and 3D acquisition.end faq
