Carolinas HealthCare System, a top health care organization in the Southeast, has purchased an imaging system from EOS imaging. The system will be used for both pediatric and adult patients at a dedicated imaging center in Carolina HealthCare’s Morehead Medical Plaza campus in Charlotte, N.C.
With an EOS system, radiologists and orthopedists have access to a full view of the patient’s skeleton that is life-size, naturally weight-bearing, in 3D, from all angles. The system also provides reduced radiation exposure and a fast workflow.
“We are pleased that the unique benefits of the EOS system and services will soon be available to patients in the North and South Carolina area,” says Marie Meynadier, CEO of EOS imaging.
Meynadier adds that adoption by Carolinas HealthCare validates EOS’ technology, while marking the entry into an additional large hospital network in the country. Further, Carolinas HealthCare’s acquisition expands patient access to EOS imaging technology and delivers incremental growth potential within the hospital network, she says.
