CTI has announced the completion of the General Medical Equipment 1 series, which is designed to provide new biomedical technicians with the theory and knowledge necessary to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair the basic medical equipment found in a hospital environment.
Each topic includes the theory of operation, and a demonstration of the operation of each piece of medical equipment, along with a recommended preventive maintenance procedure developed from ECRI guidelines.
The General Medical Equipment series was developed using an accredited and proven curriculum for teaching new and aspiring biomedical technicians the basic operations of the most commonly encountered medical devices.
Completion of the online portions of this course, taken in conjunction with the first four Electronics Review courses, can be used to apply for course credit at Texas State Technical College in Waco.
