The Joint Commission announces a new appointment in its accreditation and certification operations division. Chad Larson, a 13-year Joint Commission veteran, has been named executive director of hospital business development.
Most recently, Larson served as director of business operations in the Joint Commission’s Division of Support Operations, where he led the administration and management of operational, financial and planning activities. He also was a project lead on the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, utilizing Baldrige Excellence Framework and Lean Six Sigma methodology to identify gaps in internal processes to promote organizational culture transformation.
Larson also was an associate director in accreditation and certification operations, where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of accreditation and certification survey activities. His responsibilities included strategic planning, financial management and retention, and recruitment efforts for several different accreditation and certification programs.
Larson holds a master of business administration from the Keller Graduate School of Management, DeVry University, with an emphasis in Health Services Administration.
