I work at an large ACS that is only performing emergent surgeries. We are doing surgeries the large hospitals can’t do, due to restrictions. We are a facility that does not treat sick patient. I’m not looking toward the day we get a patient that is positive but not yet symptomatic. By requirements we have 1 isolation room amongst 28 rooms and no ventilators. Or action plan is to treat every patient as if they are positive.
Prior to the restrictions we average of 40 surgeries a day. Now we are averaging 17.
