An interactive, online session on the promise and challenges of telehealth will take place Thursday, December 5, at 1:30 pm ET. Sponsored by the CE-IT Community, the free 90-minute session will be moderated by Elliot Sloane, PhD. Scheduled speakers are Neil Charness, MS, PhD, of Florida State University, and Bridget Moorman, MSBME, CCE, of BMoorman Consulting LLC.
The CE-IT Community is a collaboration among AAMI, ACCE, and HIMSS. Previous town halls have covered interoperability, medical device security, wireless issues, MDDS & IEC 80001, mHealth, connectivity with physiologic monitors, interoperability with the IHE profiles, collaboration case studies, human factors, interoperability with clinical alarms, and more.
