The decade-long agreement with Siemens Healthineers will support standardization and life-cycle management of imaging equipment across Tower Health’s network.
Tower Health has entered into a 10-year partnership with Siemens Healthineers focused on equipment enhancement, technology modernization, and improving clinical experience for patients. The partnership aims to bring improvements in diagnostic imaging and digital intelligence tools to radiology, oncology, and cardiology across the Tower Health system.
The partnership is designed to foster Tower Health’s long-term sustainability by addressing system-wide standardization and life-cycle management of Tower Health’s imaging equipment. Planned upgrades include new Siemens Healthineers systems in computed tomography, magnetic resonance, interventional radiology, and Varian radiation-oncology therapies. These updates are intended to increase efficiency and capacity across the network.
“This partnership extends beyond merely upgrading equipment; it empowers Tower Health and our staff to uphold our dedication to clinical excellence and innovation, ensuring the delivery of smarter, faster, and more connected care to our patients and the communities we serve for years to come,” says Michael Stern, president and CEO of Tower Health, in a release. “We are proud to establish a strategic partnership with Siemens Healthineers, granting us access to state-of-the-art technology during the next decade.”
As part of the collaboration, Tower Health will also gain access to several digital automation tools, including Siemens Healthineers proprietary algorithms designed to standardize clinical operations, simplify reporting, and provide consistent data for cardiovascular imaging.
Building Long-term Value
Siemens Healthineers refers to the agreement as a Value Partnership, which it defines as a long-term and comprehensive collaboration that aligns healthcare providers’ strategic goals with Siemens Healthineers’ technologies and expertise to improve patient care and reduce operational complexity.
“Our collaboration with Tower Health presents a significant opportunity to support a major health system in our own community,” says John Kowal, president of the Americas at Varian, a Siemens Healthineers company, in a release. “By implementing advanced diagnostic imaging systems, technology solutions and Varian oncology therapies, Tower Health is making a significant investment in its hospitals and, ultimately, in enhancing patient care.”
Effective April 14, Kowal will become president and head of the Americas at Siemens Healthineers.
