With the new facility, Sodexo says in a news release that it will ensure a 99% uptime, “delivering on its promise of reliable service and minimizing equipment downtime, providing the much-needed support to healthcare providers.”
The new facility will cover all public health care setups, namely government hospitals, small and medium diagnostics centers, and medical colleges in the Presidency region, Burdwan, and Jalpaiguri. Additionally, it will enable Sodexo to scale up its HTM operations and support the expansion of biomedical equipment maintenance in other markets.

There are six specialized labs catering to a range of healthcare equipment and devices: an electro-technical lab; pressure, acceleration, and speed lab; QA testing lab; mass and volume lab; thermal lab; in-house repair lab, as well as a warehouse. A network and partnership with OEMs ensures the availability of critical components with minimum turnaround time from its central warehouse.
- Paperless and digital solution: Sodexo’s HTM digital solution is designed to help healthcare providers instantly access inventory status, real-time updates on complaints, and automatic scheduling as per regulations. Customizable digital MIS dashboard facilitates end-to-end service delivery with an overview of complete equipment lifecycle.
- Dedicated technical team: Sodexo’s on-site and central pool of experts are trained to handle all types of equipment. Launched in 2017, Sodexo HTM services are currently operational in nine states: West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, Assam, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab and Jharkhand. Currently, through its partnership with HITES, Sodexo has been delivering asset maintenance and management of 80,000-plus pieces of medical equipment at 1,500 site locations in 28 districts, of which West Bengal is the largest contract through HITES.
