Aurora, Ohio-based PartsSource has tapped industry veteran Mark Tomasetti to lead its efforts in developing technology-led solutions that streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve a healthcare facility’s organizational effectiveness. As chief technology officer, Tomasetti will drive the company’s e-commerce and product strategy on behalf of 3,000 hospital clients across North America.
Tomasetti joins PartsSource from TMW Systems, where he led enterprise product management for six different lines of business, servicing the global transportation and logistics market. Prior to TMW Systems, Tomasetti spent 12 years with OEConnection, where he held a variety of product and general management positions, including chief commercial officer and chief technology officer. During his tenure, Tomasetti led the development and launch of numerous e-commerce products in the automotive parts aftermarket.
“Our ability to attract a professional of Mark’s caliber demonstrates how PartsSource is spearheading the development of technology that will empower clinical engineering and supply chain to contain costs, enhance productivity and improve outcomes,” says PartsSource President and CEO Phil Settimi. “Mark knows firsthand how to develop, launch, and deploy real-time applications for mission-critical functions within high-demand and regulated industries.”
While at his previous positions, Tomasetti led numerous innovations that earned high recognitions within the industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Virginia Tech, along with an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.
“PartsSource has revolutionized spend management within the healthcare industry by decreasing supply costs, improving visibility to supplier performance and instituting evidence-based and data-driven decision support,” Tomasetti says. “I’m proud to be part of a team who has a strong history with technology innovation.”
