Indianapolis-based Medxcel Facilities Management, an asset management company serving healthcare organizations, announced the appointment of Matthew Keahey as area vice president of facilities management. In this role, Keahey will oversee facilities management services for hospital sites throughout the United States.
According to the Medxcel announcement, Keahey has more than 20 years of experience in facilities management directing large complex facility organizations, negotiating contracts, leading sales teams, and developing client relationships. Responsibilities in his new role at Medxcel Facilities Management will include managing the company’s proprietary integrated service delivery model while focusing on customer relations and strategic development.
“Matthew has a proven track record in helping facilities achieve improved customer and patient satisfaction while reducing operational expenses,” said Mike Argir, president of Medxcel Facilities Management. “His experience will be invaluable to Medxcel and our customers as we implement facilities management services in hospital systems nationwide.”
Prior to joining Medxcel, Keahey worked for 11 years at Aramark Corporation as a regional director and vice president of facilities services. He also served as senior manager for 10 years at Federal Express. Keahey has a master’s degree in business administration and strategic management from the University of Memphis in Tennessee. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, and organization behavior.
