Healthcare organizations dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic are at increased risk for ransomware attacks from “credible threats” right now, reports the New York Daily News.
On Wednesday, the FBI, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) released a security advisory alerting about possible ransomware assaults that are threatening the country’s health care system.
Organizations dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic are particularly at risk, the statement warned.
