24×7 is proud to announce that the Western Publishing Association has selected its December 2015 issue as a finalist for the 2016 Maggie Awards. The magazine was chosen, along with five other finalists, in the Best Issue category for trade magazines with nonpaid circulation under 50,000.
24×7‘s December issue featured the “HTM Salary Survey 2015: Nearing a Tipping Point,” which pointed to vast demographic shifts about to take place in the biomed workforce. Other features included contributor Chris Hayhurst’s overview of pivotal “Trends in Technology,” advice from Rick Davis, CBET, on “Making the Move from Technician to Manager,” and Dave Meeker’s discussion of the rise of “Direct Messaging: The Next Healthcare Frontier.”
The WPA is a nonprofit association dedicated to the advancement of the media publishing industry in the western United States. Its mission is education, and among the programs it offers its member organizations are seminars, roundtable discussions on publishing topics, and a publishing conference. It hosts the annual Maggie competition and awards college WPA scholarships and grants.
The 2016 winners will be announced at the WPA’s 65th Annual Maggie Awards Banquet May 6 at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel in Los Angeles.
