As it has done for the past three years, AAMI has announced that it will once again sponsor a contest for the best celebration of Healthcare Technology Management Week 2014. HTM departments entering the contest will be judged on the creativity of their events and the extent to which they involve other facility departments and staff in the celebration.
All that is required to enter the contest is to submit a brief description of plans for the celebration on the contest submission website. The winning department will be announced during HTM Week (May 18–24), and will be featured in an AAMI publication. In addition, the department will receive a $100 gift certificate to a local restaurant.
HTM Week is an annual celebration designed to raise awareness of—and appreciation for—the work of biomedical equipment technicians, clinical engineers, and other healthcare professionals who service, maintain, and manage healthcare technology. Through this celebration, AAMI and other organizations thank these professionals for the vital role they play in protecting patient safety, improving patient outcomes, and reducing healthcare costs.
