The Healthcare Technology Foundation (HTF) has extended the deadline for its clinical alarms survey another month in an effort to gain more participation. The 2016 HTF National Clinical Alarms Survey will remain open for responses through May 15. The Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) has also agreed to sponsor the survey.

The survey, which was previously conducted in 2006 and 2011, consists of 37 multiple choice and free-text questions involving work-related demographics and alarm information. It takes about 15 minutes to complete. All information submitted will remain anonymous.

The results of the survey will be presented June 5 during the AAMI conference at the Alarm Management Workshop, cohosted by AAMI and HTF.
