A survey is under way by the Patient Care Device Domain of IHE (Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise) to enhance medical device connectivity and interoperability from system to system within and across departments—and at the point of care—for users and vendors.
IHE is an initiative by health care professionals and industry to improve sharing of health care information electronically, in part by promoting coordinated use of standards such as DICOM and HL7.
The survey probes participants’ needs and priorities to help chart the future course for patient care devices within the IHE and takes about 10 minutes to complete. To participate, log on to the Web site before April 30, 2008.
