Heywood Hospital, a 153-bed facility in Gardner, Mass, has started using Accelero Connect health care integration platform from Accent on Integration (AOI) to automate the capture and storage of vital signs data from its emergency department.
With the new system, patient data from Philips IntelliVue patient monitors is automatically documented in Heywood’s emergency department information system (EDIS), removing the need for nurses to manually document vital signs data. Additionally, because automation speeds documentation of patient data, physicians can review information in real-time.
Accelero Connect is vendor-, and modality-neutral, making it easy to integrate with devices organization already has in place. Accelero Connect is a software-only solution.
