To address rising vulnerabilities from third-party software, the Indiana-based network will implement a real-time risk management solution.

Community Health Network, headquartered in Indianapolis, will deploy a real-time risk management platform to address cybersecurity threats originating from third-party software vulnerabilities. The health system has partnered with TripleKey to implement the solution across its enterprise.

The move comes as the healthcare sector faces a significant increase in supply chain-related security incidents. According to industry data cited in the announcement, these types of breaches have surged by nearly 40% over the last two years, with third-party risks contributing to almost one-third of all breaches. Specifically in healthcare, attacks targeting the software supply chain accounted for 15% of breaches in 2024, a notable increase from just 4% in 2021.

TripleKey’s platform is designed to provide both technical and non-technical executives with visibility into code health, team performance, and compliance risks by translating technical data into high-level business intelligence.

“Cybercriminals are no longer breaking in through the front door; they’re slipping in through trusted software vendors,” says Scott McCullough, CEO of TripleKey, in a release. “Community’s decision to deploy our platform represents a critical step forward in safeguarding patient care and data integrity by addressing these emerging threats head-on.”

Patrick McGill, MD, chief transformation officer at Community Health Network, adds in a release, “Maintaining patient trust means staying ahead of threats we couldn’t previously see. By leveraging TripleKey we obtain that additional visibility and control. We’re securing our operations and reinforcing our commitment to safety and resilience.”
