The appointment aims to accelerate the development of AI-powered healthcare supply chain solutions and data-driven platform capabilities.
Staritas, a healthcare supply chain intelligence company, has appointed Rajneesh Kumar as its chief technology officer. The hire marks the first major leadership addition since the company launched as an independent organization one month ago.
Kumar will oversee the company’s technology strategy, with a focus on product innovation, platform capabilities, and scalable solutions. The company aims to help healthcare organizations manage supply chain decisions through independent data and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions.
“Healthcare organizations face growing pressure to make smarter decisions faster, and that’s exactly the problem Staritas is built to solve,” says Emmet O’Gara, CEO, in a release. “Raj has the technical depth and operational leadership to accelerate our AI investments, expand our platform, and advance our mission of helping healthcare leaders make every choice clear, and we are thrilled to be adding him to our team.”
Background in Healthcare Technology
Kumar joins the company with more than 25 years of experience in enterprise technology across the healthcare, fintech, and revenue cycle management sectors. He most recently served as chief technology officer at AccessOne, where he led platform modernization efforts involving cloud-native architecture, data foundations, security, and compliance.
His previous leadership experience includes roles at ConnectYourCare, Intermedix, and Change Healthcare. His appointment follows the spin out of Staritas from ECRI as an independent entity focused on evolving healthcare supply chain intelligence using advanced analytics and AI.
“Staritas is uniquely positioned at the intersection of healthcare, data, and technology,” says Kumar, chief technology officer, in a release. “The company has a tremendous foundation through its independent datasets, deep domain expertise, and long-standing customer relationships. I’m excited to join the team at this important stage of growth and help shape the next generation of intelligent solutions that empower healthcare organizations to navigate increasingly complex supply chain decisions.”
Industry Impact and Growth
The healthcare supply chain is increasingly requiring proactive, data-driven strategies, according to Staritas. The company maintains an independent source of supply and capital data, serving nearly 90% of top US hospitals. These organizations identify up to $13 billion in potential savings annually through the Staritas platform, the company says.
Staritas is currently backed by a strategic growth investment from Accel-KKR. The company plans to continue investing in technologies like advanced analytics and automation to help customers identify market trends and manage supply chain and recall decisions.
