SonoSite Inc, Bothell, Wash, announces its full year revenue for 2009 dropped 10% compared to 2008 to $227.4 million. The 10% drop excludes the company’s partial-year acquisition of CardioDynamics.
Represented in more than 100 countries, SonoSite designs and manufactures point-of-care, hand-carried ultrasound systems.
The company did see sharp gains late in the year. Its fourth quarter operating income was $6.8 million, an increase of 46% compared to the fourth quarter of 2008.
Revenues for the partial year acquisition of CardioDynamics were $4.2 million for the fourth quarter and $7.1 million for the full 2009.
Looking to the future, the company hopes to increase operating income up to 10% in 2010.
